Jharkhand Rai University also known as JRU is a private university that is located in the state of Jharkhand. JRU was established in 2011 and since then it has been approved by UGC (University Grants Commission) and is also NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) accredited. It is one of the first private universities in Jharkhand as well as the neighbouring states of West Bengal and Bihar to be approved by NAAC, which is quite a commendable fact. JRU is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, London, as well as the Association of Indian Universities AIU and has an ISO certification of 9001:2015.Jharkhand Rai University (JRU) was founded by Prof. Arun Nigavekar who also the former chairman of UGC (University Grants Commission). Arun Nigavekar has vast knowledge in the management side and has many sizeable contributions to the field of science. JRU is an Institution with a vision of creating an employable workforce, making a compelling transformation in various educational sectors, thereby strengthening the nation's human resources.
