R.M.D. Engineering College was established in 2001. The institute is an ISO 9OO1:2O15 certified institute which and is accredited by NAAC. R.M.D. Engineering College is affiliated by Anna University, Chennai. Additionally, the college is also approved by AICTE(All India Council for Technical Education) and is located at Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu. R.M.D. Engineering College has won many awards and ranking including the 5th ranked awarded for being the cleanest higher education by Ministry of human resource development, the government of India.  R.M.D. Engineering College offers a bachelor degree in engineering with five different specialisations. All the five specialisations available at the college are accredited by National Board of Accreditation(NBA). Ltd., Chennai, CISCO Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd., Oracle India Private Limited and many others which will provide the students to learn via live industry training. The placement cell of the college was established to provide employment opportunities right on the campus.  Various industries, as well as multinational companies, are invited to the campus for providing decent placement package to the students.
