Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology is a premier self-financing engineering college in Telangana. MGIT Hyderabad is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. The National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi, recently granted the institute four years of accreditation for all six B.Tech programmes. The institute has also received an 'A' grade from NAAC. The Chaitanya Bharathi Educational Society (CBES) founded the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology in 1997 in a serene and tranquil atmosphere in Gandipet, Hyderabad, and it has increased since then. MGIT campus spans over 30 acres of pleasant landscape and has a built-up area of 2,50,787 square feet. In a recent development, MGIT has been granted autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in New Delhi.Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology courses include 11 undergraduate programmes. They are computer science, information technology, electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mechatronics, metallurgical and materials engineering, civil engineering, and mechanical engineering, computer science and business systems, computer science and engineering (artificial intelligence and machine learning), and computer science and engineering (artificial Intelligence and machine learning), computer science and engineering (data science). MGIT admission in M.Tech is done either by Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) or by PGECET which is conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State. Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology B.Tech admission is offered on the basis of AP EAMCET and participation in the AP EAMCET counselling.
