Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya (VM) Burdwan was founded on the eve of Swami Vivekananda's Birthday in the year 1963. This initiative was taken by the District Magistrate of Burdwan, Mr K.P.S. Menon, Chairman of Zilla Parishad, Mr Narayan Chowdhury, and other citizens of Burdwan.
