The University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi known as UCMS Delhi was established in the year 1971 by the efforts of the Delhi Health Ministry. The institution was set up to provide medical education to the qualified students as the two existing medical colleges of Delhi i.e. MAMC and LHMC were unable to provide an opportunity to the aspiring masses.
